Loving Life

Ok, so some are chomping on the bit while others are in the dark so I'll start from the beginning:

A while back I blogged about change and how it so desperately needed to happen. But as life always does, I was thrown a curve. In my blog I wasn't upfront about what kind of change I was wanting or what I was dealing with because I didn't want to get into the details. But now I will come forward.

I've been very candid about the fact that Chad is younger than me. I know 3 and a half years is not that big of a deal and most do not assume that I am older. But when you get a girl in her early thirties mixed with a guy still firmly holding on to his twenties there can be some differences. One of those is marriage and family. I wanted it so desperately and Chad was dragging his feet. This was the change I was referring to. I was a single lady and I wanted him to put a ring on it!

So I spoke of change and how I was terrified of it. It really wasn't that, I was terrified of no change. But then something happened - a little hiccup in our relationship. It was not the fault of anyone and it was quickly mended and all was right in the world again. But it affected me. It made me realize that I needed to let go. That I was not the one that is so desperately needing a commitment in the form of a marriage it was everyone around me! Isn't it better to be dating the love of your life and be completely happy than be married to a jerk and be miserable? Why ruin something wonderful to make everyone else satisfied? Plus I have always done things my way and at my own pace so why quit now!

The change happened just not with Chad, it happened within me. So what happened after I became perfectly at peace with our relationship? What was the next step after I learned to bypass or confront every scoff, comment and question on my relationship?

Life is good!

Up next the proposal and the plans and the stress and now all is right....

PS - My hand is really not that red, I lost my USB cord to my camera and this is a crappy phone pic. I look like a lobster!
